Biography

Ellen is an in-demand session musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Nashville Scene calls Ellen an “ace of all things stringed” and “one of the greatest utility players in Nashville.” She plays guitar, bass, pedal steel, mandolin, banjo, dobro, keys, and trombone everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to Guam. When she is not backing up a variety of talented acts (Cam, Mickey Guyton, Brandy Clark, Uncle Kracker, Delta Rae, Ty Herndon, Adeem the Artist, and many others) Ellen produces video contentfor way-cool stringed instrument manufacturer Eastwood Guitars. She pens a quarterly column for Premier Guitar and under the moniker Uncle Ellen, she releases original music once in a blue moon. Ellen regularly volunteers with organizations like Please Vote Nashville, Nashville Launch Pad, and Association of Horizon, and she proudly serves on the Hearing Board of the Nashville Musicians Association, AFM Local 257. She hopes to leave the music industry better than she received it.
